Part of the tri-fold changes I want to make during this choose 180 challenge is to cut down on caffeine (soda) and increase the amount of water I drink. This is day 2 of the challenge. I have to tell you these caffeine withdrawal headaches are going to be the last of me. Does anyone have any suggestions they can make on how to make these headaches more bearable? Any idea how long they may last before they will completely go away? You don't realize how addictive caffeine is until you try to cut significantly back on it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated Angie ?

Angie, I searched online and I've found that you should wean yourself off it a little at a time. What I mean is, if you feel headaches, drinking more water helps. (That's what I found) I think it takes different times to stop the headaches. No one's body is the same, so I guess depending on your body type it'll take a few days, months, years or even weeks. I'm addicted to Mt. Dew, I'm weaning myself off to about 1 can/glass. I used to drink up to 3 cans. Now I've started to drink more water and less caffeine. All I gotta say is good luck!

Caffeine headaches are from the devil! I used to work at a coffee shop and I was up to drinking 4-5 lattes/cups of coffee a day and when I left there for my job I have now I had to cut back because it's A) super expensive without a discount haha and B) just wasn't healthy to drink that much in a day. When I started weaning myself off I tried cold turkey but that only left me with awful headaches and I was super cranky. Drink lots of water and limit yourself to a certain amount of caffeine a day. It took about three weeks for the headaches to stop but eventually they did and now I feel much better. Good Luck!

Hum... It's weird cos I drink up to 5 coffee mugs a day and never have had headaches even when I spend a week without drinking a sip of coffee! Anyways, hope the other two advices help somehow and sorry for not being helpful at all... "/
